Pre-Season Discovery and Learning
To celebrate our 6th season, our team is making a big leap moving from a standard tank drive to a swerve drive. Swerve allows omni-directional drive, increasing maneuverability and speed. Since more than 85% of FRC teams in our district now use swerve, we knew this change was key to staying competitive. During the preseason, we’re learning how the swerve modules work and getting hands-on with both the mechanical and electrical systems.

Our biggest learnings will come from participating in STEMLY, an offseason competition on November 2nd. Our aim is to have a driveable swerve base with our scoring mechanism from last year attached.
Our mission this year is to build a robot that’s faster, more agile, and smarter than ever. We want to boost driving speed, improve maneuverability, and sharpen our ability to plan paths with vision. By processing AprilTag images in real time, our robot will be able to move across the field with greater accuracy and efficiency.

This Month’s Goals

- Complete the CAD design & construction of our
first swerve drive base. - Stripping down our 2025 robot.
- Transfering the elevator & Coral scoring mechanism onto the new drive base.
- Rewire the new drive base and scoring mechanisms.
- Code the new robot.
- Initiate driving practice.
Our 2025-2026 Team
We are excited about the renewed growth within our team at this early point in the season.
Our team breaks down like this:
9 – Grade 9s
5 – Grade 10s
7 – Grade 11s
4 – Grade 12s
Over 50% of our students are new to the team this year!

Our team is supported by 15 professionals from the community who provide mentorship.
2025-2026 Season Budget
This year, our team has set an ambitious fundraising goal of at
least $33,900. These funds will cover registration fees, building
supplies, motors, wiring, electrical parts, and the new swerve
modules we need to compete.
But we’re aiming even higher. Any funds raised beyond these
essentials will help support our school as we launch an exciting
new manufacturing program.
To reach this goal, we’re turning to our community for support.
